In short

Effective

Twenty US states have comprehensive privacy laws. California’s covers business profiles like the ones in our database; most others cover people only as consumers. We give the same rights to everyone, whatever state you live in: you can ask what we hold, get a copy, correct it, delete it, and opt out of its sale or sharing, without an account. We act on opt-outs within 15 business days and on other requests within 45 days, and you can appeal any decision.

Key takeaways

  • The same rights in every state
  • Opt-outs within 15 business days, no verification
  • Other requests within 45 days of receipt
  • A written answer to every appeal

1. Who these rights are for

This page is for anyone whose personal information Dmand AI holds: the healthcare professionals and executives in our database, visitors to dmand.ai and Users of the Platform. Many state laws leave out information about people acting in a business role, but we apply the rights on this page to everyone in every state anyway. The Privacy Policy explains what we collect, where it comes from and who we share it with.

2. Your rights and our response times

Privacy rights and response times

Equal treatmentWe never charge more or treat you differently for using a rightAlways

Times run from when we receive your request. If we need up to 45 more days for a deletion, correction or copy, which the laws allow, we tell you why before the first 45 days end.

Some laws also give rights to limit the use of sensitive personal information and to opt out of profiling that has legal or similarly significant effects. We do not collect sensitive personal information and do not use personal information for that kind of profiling, so neither arises, but you can still ask us about either.

3. How to make a request

  1. Online. Use the forms in the Privacy Center. To opt out, use Your Privacy Choices.
  2. By email. Write to hello@dmand.ai with the request and the name and email address on your record.
  3. By mail. Write to Privacy requests, Launcheazy Inc, 360 S Baywood Ave, San Jose, CA 95128.
  4. No account needed. You do not need a Dmand AI account to make any request.

4. How we confirm a request is yours

  1. Opt-outs. We never ask you to prove who you are to opt out.
  2. Other requests. For a deletion, correction or copy, we may ask for one thing that shows the request is yours, such as a reply from a work email address on your record or your NPI. We never ask for government identification.
  3. Authorized agents. An agent can make any request for you. For an opt-out we take the agent’s word, though we may check with you. For other requests we ask for your signed permission or a power of attorney.

5. Global Privacy Control

California, Colorado, Connecticut, Texas, Oregon and other states require businesses to honor browser opt-out signals. We treat a Global Privacy Control signal as a request to opt out of sale and sharing for that browser, and the Your Privacy Choices page shows you that we received it. To opt out the profile we hold about you as well, use the form on that page.

6. How to appeal a decision

If we decline all or part of a request, we tell you why. To appeal, write to hello@dmand.ai with "Appeal" in the subject line and the reference number of your request if you have one. We send a written answer within 45 days. If you still disagree, we tell you how to contact the attorney general of your state.

7. The state laws we follow

These states have comprehensive consumer privacy laws in effect. Each one gives its residents some or all of the rights above, and we honor all of them in every state.

Oklahoma and Alabama have passed laws that take effect in 2027. Because we already give these rights to everyone, residents of those states and of every other state can use them now.

8. Notice to California residents

  1. What we collect and why. The categories of personal information we collected in the last 12 months, their sources and the purposes we use them for are in the Privacy Policy, under Profile data, Visitors and Users and How we use it.
  2. Sale and sharing. We license business profiles to our customers, which California law treats as a sale. The categories we sold or shared in the last 12 months, and to whom, are under How we share it. You can opt out on Your Privacy Choices.
  3. Sensitive personal information. We do not collect it, so the right to limit its use does not arise.
  4. Retention. How long we keep each kind of information is under How long we keep it.
  5. Financial incentives. We do not offer any in exchange for personal information.

9. Nevada, Texas, Vermont and Oregon

  1. Nevada. Nevada residents may direct us not to sell their covered information by writing to hello@dmand.ai with "Nevada opt-out" in the subject line, or with the opt-out form.
  2. Texas. Texas residents can use every right on this page under the Texas Data Privacy and Security Act. We do not collect sensitive personal data, so we do not sell it.
  3. Vermont and Oregon. Residents of either state may opt out of the sale of their information with the opt-out form or any method on this page.
