Definitive Healthcare products: View Suite, Monocl, Populi and Carevoyance explained
Here is each product, described from its own page, with a screenshot of that page.
View Suite: nine databases covering the US provider landscape
The View Suite is the core product. Each database covers one provider segment. HospitalView states 9,000+ hospital and IDN profiles covering every hospital and IDN in the United States. PhysicianView states more than 3 million physicians, nurses and allied health professionals, with hospital and physician group affiliations, specialties, and contact information with primary practice locations.
The other databases cover 130,000+ physician groups, 60,000+ clinics, 22,000+ imaging centers, 14,000+ ambulatory surgery centers, 100,000+ long-term care organizations, 4,500+ ACO, HIE and payor organizations, and all-payor and prescription claims.
Underneath sits the Atlas Dataset, built from government and regulatory sources, websites, journals and first-party research calls, and Definitive ID, an identifier assigned to every organization and individual to map industry relationships.
In practice, a device company searches by procedure code, finds the surgery centers doing that procedure, sees volume trends and affiliated physicians, and pulls financial and technology data on each facility. Health IT vendors use the technology install data to find displacement targets.

Monocl Expert Suite: KOL and expert identification
Monocl serves medical affairs and life sciences teams looking for key opinion leaders. ExpertInsight states coverage of more than 16 million experts globally across therapy areas. Conferences covers sessions, speakers and topics before, during and after events. ExpertClaims adds medical claims insights to expert profiles.

Populi Suite: claims-based consumer analytics
Populi is aimed at healthcare marketing and provider organizations. Digital Audiences describes privacy-safe HCP and direct-to-consumer targeting for digital campaigns. Population Intelligence supports campaigns and activation. Market Intelligence states that Populi holds Qualified Entity status and receives 100% of Medicare Parts A, B and D data.

Carevoyance: sales enablement for MedTech
Carevoyance builds patient cohorts from diagnosis and procedure codes with inclusion, exclusion and time-based logic. It then finds the providers and sites treating those cohorts, for MedTech territory targeting. It runs as its own application behind its own login.

Definitive Healthcare integrations and data access
Definitive's data management page lists DefinitiveConnect for Salesforce, a HubSpot integration announced in its May 21, 2026 release, Snowflake Direct Data Sharing and Databricks Delta Sharing, RESTful APIs for HospitalView, PhysicianView and Monocl, and a managed SFTP site. All of it is sold under a data integration license.

Definitive Healthcare pricing: custom quotes, no published tiers
The pricing page has no prices. It offers three ways to buy: single solutions, bundles of a suite at a reduced rate, and add-ons for extra licenses, seats or custom reports. It ends in a custom quote form. The free trial page is a request form; length, scope and limits are not published.
Vendr's anonymized transaction data puts 1 to 5 users at roughly $25,000 to $60,000 a year and 10 to 25 users with multiple modules at $100,000 to $250,000. Enterprise agreements often go above $250,000 and can reach $500,000 or more. Contracts are annual and priced per named user.6
Definitive Healthcare limitations for sales and outbound teams
These themes come up in public reviews on G2 and TrustRadius and in conversations with teams evaluating the platform. They are not failures of the product. They are what happens when a platform built for market analytics is used as a daily sales tool.
Definitive Healthcare data accuracy: what to test
Definitive says its executive contacts are regularly updated and its physician contact information is up to date. Contact accuracy on generated lists comes up often in G2 reviews, so treat it as something to test, not take on trust.
A wrong affiliation costs more than a missing contact. A physician filed under the wrong parent organization sends a rep to the wrong buying committee.
| Definitive Healthcare | |
|---|---|
| Contact fields inside each View database | 7.4M+ HCPs and 11M+ executives |
| Executive name, title, email, phone and LinkedIn in HospitalView; physician contact information and primary practice location in PhysicianView | Email, direct dial and LinkedIn from waterfall enrichment across healthcare-specific sources, validated; affiliations at the site level with primary and secondary practice locations |
Test it
Test it on a territory your reps know
Pull a territory your reps know cold and check three things: is each person attached to the site they actually practice at, is the parent organization right, and how many contacts bounce.
Definitive Healthcare contract terms, cancellation and auto-renewal
Definitive sells annual subscriptions per named user, with add-ons for extra licenses, seats or custom reports. Terms are negotiated per contract and not published. Vendr reports that most contracts renew automatically unless canceled 30 to 60 days before they end, that annual increases of 3% to 5% are common, and that two- and three-year terms are offered in exchange for lower pricing.6
Its Q1 2026 Form 10-Q puts the customer count at about 2,260, down year over year. A buyer renewing in 2026 has leverage.
| Definitive Healthcare | |

Definitive Healthcare cost: what you pay for and what you use
If the daily job is find providers, get contacts and reach out, then claims analytics, referral mapping and market sizing are features the team rarely opens. Vendr's ranges start at $25,000 a year for a small team.
| Definitive Healthcare | |
|---|---|
| $25,000 to $60,000 a year | $249 or $499 per user per month |
| 1 to 5 users; $100,000 to $250,000 for 10 to 25 users with multiple modules (Vendr) | Published. Five Kickstarter seats cost $14,940 a year billed monthly, or $11,940 billed annually, sales engagement included |
Tip
Run the usage test
List the features your team opened in the last 90 days. If the answer is contact lists, you are paying for an analytics platform to do a sales job.
Is Definitive Healthcare easy to use? The analyst layer most teams add
Four suites, claims tooling and analytics dashboards are built for data teams. Reviewers describe the data as hard to arrange and manipulate, which is a separate question from whether it is correct. Many teams put an ops or analyst between the platform and the rep, and every list request waits in that person's queue.
| Definitive Healthcare | |
|---|---|
| An analyst layer is typical | Plain English, 100+ filters |
| Depth and breadth designed for data and strategy teams | An SDR describes the ICP in a sentence. AI Research Columns answer custom questions row by row |
Definitive Healthcare Salesforce and HubSpot integration: what is included
DefinitiveConnect pushes data into Salesforce, and a HubSpot integration was announced in May 2026. Data sharing, APIs and file transfers sit under a data integration license. The outreach still runs in another tool you buy, so ask about export limits before you sign.
| Definitive Healthcare | |
|---|---|
| Export, then outreach elsewhere | Integrations included |
| Integrations licensed separately. Sequencing runs in a separate tool you buy | Salesforce, HubSpot and Slack. Sequences, dialer and inbox run on the same records, so nothing has to move |

Definitive Healthcare login: four products, four login pages
The View Suite, Monocl, Populi and Carevoyance run as separate products, each with its own login page. A user doing KOL identification and territory planning switches between them.
| Definitive Healthcare | |
|---|---|
| 4 logins | 1 login |
| Four separately branded suites, each with its own interface | Search, profiles, enrichment, sequences, dialer and inbox in one application |

Definitive Healthcare implementation and free trial: how long to first list
Five- and six-figure contracts go through procurement, legal and budget before implementation starts. On its Q2 2026 earnings call, Definitive said enterprise data integration now takes about 45 days, which it presents as an improvement. The free trial is sales-assisted and its terms are not published.

Top Definitive Healthcare alternative for healthcare sales teams: Dmand AI
Dmand AI is a healthcare sales intelligence and outbound platform. It covers the same US healthcare universe Definitive maps, then does two things Definitive does not: it attaches every HCP and executive to the site they work at, and it runs the outreach from the same screen.

Dmand AI database, October 2026
Site-level affiliation: people linked to where they work, not to a domain
Healthcare sales data comes in two shapes. Facility-first vendors know the building: beds, EHR, financials, ownership. They do not tell you who runs imaging at the one in Springfield. Domain-first databases link a person to a company by email domain, so a nurse manager at a satellite clinic lands under a system 300 miles away, or nowhere.
Dmand AI is built on a third model. Every entity sits in a parent-child tree: site of care, hospital or operating organization, division, health system, IDN. HCPs and executives attach at the site, with primary and secondary practice locations, refreshed continuously.
That answers the questions a rep actually has. Which of this system's sites runs the service line I sell into? Who runs that department, and who sits above them? Which operating organization signs? Where else does this physician practice?

7.4M+ HCPs and 11M+ executives with verified contacts
PhysicianView states more than 3 million physicians, nurses and allied health professionals. Dmand AI covers 7.4M+ HCPs and 11M+ executives, each with email, direct dial and LinkedIn from waterfall enrichment across healthcare-specific sources, validated before it reaches a list.
Coverage spans health systems, hospitals of every type, physician groups and independent practices, ASCs, imaging, urgent care, FQHCs, dialysis, behavioral health, post-acute care, ACOs and GPOs.

I like Dmand AI’s extremely curated and comprehensive healthcare database, which you won’t find on any other platform with this level of detail. The ability to filter by specialty, location, independent physician or not, and many others is incredibly useful.

One platform, one login: data and sales engagement in the same workflow
Definitive maps the market across four suites and four logins, and outreach happens in a tool you buy separately. Dmand AI runs universe search, 360-degree profiles, enrichment, multi-channel sequences, an auto-dialer, LinkedIn steps and a unified inbox in one application behind one login.
Salesforce, HubSpot and Slack are included, along with role-based access, teams, custom rulesets and custom fields.

Natural language search, AI Research Columns and Zeus AI
Describe the list you want in plain English, for example "cardiologists at ASCs in Texas with more than 100 procedures last year," and Dmand AI returns it as a filterable list. Definitive's May 2026 release added AI search over its own data, but it has no intent data or buying signals.
AI Research Columns add a plain-English question as a column on any list of HCPs, executives, sites, physician groups or HCOs. Every row is researched and filled, with sources, and the answers can be filtered and used as merge fields.
Zeus AI pulls live insight on each prospect and organization and writes a unique email for every row in bulk. 80+ pre-built healthcare buying signals surface the accounts to work now.

“I love how it automatically researches prospects and writes hyper-personalized emails, saving me hours every day by eliminating manual research. […] The real value is speed and scale, as I can reach significantly more prospects every week with personalized, high-converting messages that don’t look like generic automated spam.”
NPI contact enrichment API: emails and direct dials from an NPI
Give Dmand AI a Type 1 NPI and get back a verified professional email, a personal email for recruiting outreach, or a direct dial. It works in the app and through a REST API, one NPI at a time or in batches, with webhook or polling delivery.
Credits are charged only when a contact is found, and repeat lookups within 30 days are free. Staffing firms use it to reach candidates. Sales teams use it to keep the HCP records in their CRM current. The API documentation is public.
Claude MCP connector: query the US healthcare universe inside your AI workflow
Dmand AI ships a Model Context Protocol connector for Claude. Connect it once and ask Claude for lists, affiliations, hierarchies and contacts in plain English, inside the workflow you already use. Definitive's data is reached through its own applications, DefinitiveConnect, data sharing or a licensed API. See how the connector works.
Physician Network Discovery: relationship intelligence Definitive does not list
Definitive does not list relationship intelligence. Dmand AI maps how the people you already know connect to the people you want to reach, across five path types: current coworkers, past colleagues, shared medical school, residency and fellowship, co-authors on publications, and co-investigators on clinical trials.
A CMIO at a target system stops being a cold name when you can see that your existing customer trained with her, published with her or ran a trial site with her.

Published pricing, no contract, 30-day self-serve trial
Definitive is quote-only, annual and priced per named user, with add-ons and a sales-assisted trial. Dmand AI publishes its pricing: Kickstarter is $249 per user per month, or $199 billed annually. Growth is $499, or $399 billed annually, and adds buying signals, AI Research Columns and the Claude MCP connector. Enterprise is custom for 10 or more seats.
There is no contract. The trial is 30 days, self-serve, with no credit card. Five Kickstarter seats cost $11,940 a year billed annually, with the sales engagement that would otherwise be a third line item.

Definitive Healthcare competitors and alternatives, and who each is for
Teams looking for an alternative are solving one of two problems. Some want cheaper analytics. Some want to stop doing analytics and start reaching people.

Who switches from Definitive Healthcare to Dmand AI
The teams that switch are the ones whose daily work is reaching people, not modeling the market. Here is what each gets.
Health IT and services vendors
EHR, revenue cycle, population health, care management, prior authorization, clinical decision support and interoperability vendors. Definitive tells you the system has 42 sites and runs Epic. Dmand AI tells you who runs IT at the site you are targeting, who sits above them, and gives you the direct dial.
Healthtech and digital health companies
Virtual care, remote monitoring, patient engagement and care navigation. Find physicians by specialty, procedures and patient volume, see every site and group they practice at, find the operating organization above them, and sequence clinicians and executives together.
Medical staffing and recruiting firms
Two lists from one platform: facilities with demand, and candidates. Search 7.4M+ HCPs by specialty, site, group, employer, education and certifications. Reach the administrators, directors of nursing and regional clinical operations leaders that horizontal databases miss, and reach candidates on personal email through the NPI contact enrichment API.
Consulting firms and agencies serving healthcare
Hierarchy and ownership data to size markets, executive contacts by function, AI Research Columns for client-specific questions, exportable lists, and team workspaces with role-based access.
MedTech and medical supplies companies
Surgeons by procedure volume, the ASCs and imaging centers where procedures happen, KOLs through publications, trials, boards and open payments, plus service line leaders and value analysis committees. Physician Network Discovery finds the introduction through co-investigators, co-authors and former colleagues.
Pharma, biotech and CROs
Prescribers by therapy area, KOL profiles with education, associations, boards and open payments, investigators and the sites, groups and systems they belong to, then personalized sequences.

How to switch from Definitive Healthcare to Dmand AI
Most teams test Dmand AI on accounts they already know, then time the move to their renewal date.
Start the free trial
30 days, self-serve, no credit card and no sales call.
Rebuild one list you already trust
Compare it field by field: site-level affiliation, parent organization, title accuracy, and email and direct dial coverage.
Run one sequence
50 records, one AI Research Column and Zeus AI personalization, then email, calls and LinkedIn. Measure connect and reply rates against your current stack.
Check the warm paths
Run Physician Network Discovery on your top 20 accounts and count how many have a path in.
Time it around your renewal window
Find the cancellation date and work backward. If you keep Definitive for claims analytics, the conversation is about seat count, not the whole contract.
Definitive Healthcare or Dmand AI: which to choose
The choice depends on which layer of the problem you own.
Choose Definitive Healthcare if your work is understanding the structure of the US healthcare market: sizing a therapy market by procedure volume, mapping referral patterns across an IDN, finding KOLs for a launch, or modeling prescribing from all-payer claims. That is what the platform is built for, and it is sold to strategy, market access and analytics teams on that basis.
Choose Dmand AI if your work is reaching people inside that market: building a list of the right HCPs and executives at the right sites, knowing who sits above them, finding a warm path in, and running email, calls and LinkedIn from the same records, at published per-seat pricing with no contract.
“Definitive maps the market. Dmand AI puts your team inside it.”
