An AI research agent for healthcare accounts that answers your question on every row

Type the question your filters can’t answer about the hospitals, medical groups or HCPs on a list. Dmand AI researches each row and writes the answer beside it with the pages it used, so you can qualify accounts and personalize outreach without leaving the app.

Lists you can research

AI Research Columns research one question for every row of a healthcare list and save the answer as a column

AI Research Columns is a Dmand AI feature that takes a plain-English question, researches it for each HCP, executive or organization on a list, and fills a new column with the answer, its sources and the reasoning. The lists come from the US healthcare org tree, so every answer stays on the right account and next to the people who work there.

Account research today

Manual research, spreadsheet AI tools and firmographic enrichment miss what makes a healthcare account a fit

Here is what each common approach gives a rep, next to what an AI research column gives the same rep on the same list.

Illustration: for each common approach to account research, what it shows next to what Dmand AI shows for the same list.
  • Manual research covers a few accounts, not a territory

A rep gets through a handful of group websites in an afternoon, and what they learn stays in their notes instead of on the list.

  • Spreadsheet AI tools start from a blank sheet with no healthcare data

You import the list, connect data vendors and match each row to an organization before the first question can run.

  • Firmographic enrichment fills in headcount, not your question

Industry, size and location can’t tell you whether a practice offers telehealth or is hiring nurses.

From question to outreach

Qualify a list of medical groups with one AI research question

Ines sells a behavioral health program to primary care practices in Oregon and needs to know which practices already offer that care on site. Ines and the practices in these scenes are invented.

Illustration: Ines adds the question “Does this practice offer behavioral health care on site?” as a new column named Behavioral Health on a list of Oregon primary care practices.

01

Add a column with a plain-English question

Ines types “Does this practice offer behavioral health care on site?”, Dmand AI writes the research instructions and names the column, and the new column is ready to run on every row.

02

Watch each group get researched and answered

Every row shows Researching, then Yes, No or Not found, and opening an answer shows the pages Dmand AI read and why it answered that way.

03

Filter the list by the answer

Ines filters Behavioral Health to No and Not found, which leaves the practices without that care on site, and opens their decision makers next.

04

Find decision makers and use the answer in outreach

Find decision makers lists the medical director and practice administrator at each remaining practice, and Ines adds those people to a sequence whose first email draws on the research.

What to ask

Good AI research questions either qualify an account or describe it in a sentence

Ask the way you would ask a colleague, one question per column, and say what form the answer should take.

  • Illustration: a question with four kinds of fixed answer below it: yes, no, a vendor name and a tier.

Qualifying questions return a fixed answer you can filter on

Ask for a yes or no, a vendor name or a tier, such as “Does this clinic offer evening or weekend hours?”, and the column works like any other filter.

  • Illustration: a question above a summary card with two source tabs, the group website and the news.

Research questions return a short summary with sources

Ask for a short summary, such as what a group’s website says about its care programs, and use it to write the first line of an email.

Questions by team

AI research questions that health IT, recruiting, MedTech and pharma teams ask about their accounts

The question changes with what you sell; the list and the column work the same way.

Health IT and services

Find hospitals that announced a new EHR or revenue cycle vendor

Ask whether each hospital on a list announced a system change, then work the ones in the middle of a selection.

Dmand AI for Health IT

Healthtech and digital health

Find health systems that run a hospital-at-home program

Ask whether each system offers care at home, then reach the leaders behind the programs that already exist.

Dmand AI for digital health

Medical staffing and recruiting

See which hospitals are hiring the roles you place

Ask whether a hospital is hiring travel nurses or locum physicians, and get the open roles and the posting behind each yes.

Dmand AI for staffing

Consulting and agencies

Summarize each health system’s stated priorities before a pitch

Ask for a short summary of a system’s latest strategy news so the first meeting starts from what its leaders already said.

Dmand AI for consulting

MedTech and medical supplies

Find surgery centers that perform the procedures your device supports

Ask whether each surgery center performs total joint replacements or spine cases, and send reps to the centers that do.

Dmand AI for MedTech

Pharma, biotech and CROs

Find specialists who speak on your therapy area

Ask whether each oncologist on a list presented at a recent medical meeting, with the program page as the source.

AI research column questions

AI Research Columns FAQs

What RevOps and sales leaders ask before they research a list with AI. Something missing? Email hello@dmand.ai.

What is an AI research column?

An AI research column is a column you add to a list in Dmand AI by typing a question in plain English. An AI research agent then researches the question for every row and writes the answer, the sources it used and its reasoning into the column. You can filter the list by the answers and use them in outreach.

What can I ask an AI research column about a hospital or medical group?

Ask anything a person could find on public pages or in Dmand AI’s record for the account: whether a group offers a service, which vendor a hospital announced, which roles a site is hiring for, or a short summary of a system’s priorities. Facts Dmand AI already holds as fields, such as specialty, parent organization or procedure volume, are faster to find with filters.

How do I qualify healthcare accounts with AI?

Turn your qualification rule into a question with a fixed answer, such as yes or no, and add it as a column to your account list. Filter the list to the accounts that pass. From there, Find decision makers shows the people at each account who can buy, ready to save to a list.

Can I use AI research columns for lead scoring?

Yes. Ask for a tier and state the rule in the question, for example “Rate this practice high, medium or low fit: high if it has several locations and no behavioral health care on site.” Every row gets a tier with its reasoning, and you can filter the list by tier.

Where does the data behind each answer come from?

Each answer starts from the account’s record in Dmand AI, which is built from sources such as the CMS provider registry, Medicare claims, CMS Open Payments, ClinicalTrials.gov, PubMed and Dmand AI executive data. The research then reads public pages such as the organization’s website, news and job postings. With Show Sources on, every answer lists the pages it used.

How accurate are the answers, and can I check them?

Every answer comes with its sources and reasoning, so a rep can check it in one click. When nothing public answers the question, the column says Not found instead of guessing. Deep Reasoning is slower and suits harder questions, and you can edit the instructions or regenerate the column at any time.

Which lists can I add AI research columns to?

Lists of HCPs, healthcare executives, sites of care, medical groups and other healthcare organizations. Build the list with plain-English search or filters, then add one column for each question you want answered.

Can I use the answers in emails and sequences?

Yes. An answer can fill a merge field in a sequence email, so the first line can mention what the research found. On an account list, use Find decision makers first, then add those people to the sequence.

How is an AI research column different from a filter?

Filters search data Dmand AI already holds, such as specialty, site type, procedures, Open Payments and EHR. An AI research column finds a fact that isn’t in any field yet and saves it to the list. Once saved, you can filter by that column like any other field.

How much do AI research columns cost?

Dmand AI is priced per seat with monthly credits, and every plan starts with a free trial. The pricing page lists what each plan includes and how credits are used.

Is Dmand AI an alternative to Clay and Claygent for healthcare research?

For B2B teams that sell to US hospitals, physician groups and other providers, yes. Clay’s Claygent agents research rows in Clay tables and workflows that you build (clay.com). Dmand AI does that research on lists already placed in the US healthcare org tree, with contacts, sequences and replies in the same app.

Can I try AI research columns for free?

The trial gives you 30 days free, self-serve, no credit card, with trial credits to preview the full dataset. The pricing page shows which plans include AI Research Columns.
